SORREL
is a perennial herb in the family Polygonaceae. Other names for sorrel include spinach dock and narrow-leaved dock. It is a common plant in grassland habitats and is cultivated as a garden herb or salad vegetable.
Along with adding a unique flavor to your dishes, sorrel also provides a significant amount of fiber, very few calories, almost no fat, and a small amount of protein. It is rich in vitamin C and also contains vitamin A, vitamin B-6, iron, magnesium, potassium, and calcium.
