OKRA
Okra or okro, known in many English-speaking countries as ladies' fingers or ochro, is a flowering plant in the mallow family. It is valued for its edible green seed pods.
The taste is mild, but it has a unique texture with peach-like fuzz on the outside and small, edible seeds on the inside of the pod. It contains a characteristic viscous juice that can be used to thicken sauces.
It is a good source of minerals, vitamins, and fiber.
